Rwangoga is a 72-year-old man from Uganda, and he is married and a father of four. Rwangoga is a farmer, but for the past year, he has done very little because of pain.
At the beginning of 2016, Rwangoga started feeling sharp pain in his left inguinal region. Due to pain, he is unable to bend, work, or stand for long periods of time. Rwangoga visited a government hospital in Fort Portal, where he was diagnosed with a hernia and advised to have surgery.
If not treated, Rwangoga’s condition may lead to tissue death. He will also continue to experience pain and discomfort.
Fortunately, with the help of our medical partner, African Mission Healthcare Foundation, Rwangoga is scheduled to receive his hernia repair surgery on May 3.
After surgery, Rwangoga hopes to start a retail shop. He says, “I will be very grateful if I am assisted to have surgery. After recovery, I plan not to do hard work because I am getting old. I need to take good care of my life.”
