Savy is a 61-year-old crop farmer who is married with eight children and six grandchildren. He likes to pray and read books on Christianity in his free time.
Savy developed a cataract in each of his eyes about four months ago, causing him blurred vision, tearing, and photophobia (extreme sensitivity to light). It is difficult for him to see things clearly, work on his farm, or go places on his own.
Fortunately, Savy will have his vision restored when his cataracts are surgically removed on May 30. Surgeons will perform a small incision cataract surgery followed by an intraocular lens implant to help Savy see clearly again.
Our medical partner, Children’s Surgical Centre, is requesting donations to the amount of $292 to cover Savy’s medical bill.

Savy underwent cataract removal surgery.
His eye cataract was successfully removed from his right eye, and clear vision has been restored. Following the operation, he was given eye drops to reduce inflammation and prevent infection. He will return soon for the same surgery on his left eye.
Savy says, “I feel very happy that I can see everything clearly again so that I can continue my job as a motorcycle taxi driver easily and earn more money to support my family.”
