Meet Samnang, a 43-year-old mother and housewife from Cambodia. She is married with two daughters and one son. Samnang shares with our medical partner, Children’s Surgical Centre (CSC), that her favorite things to do are cook and watch TV.
About 25 years ago, Samnang developed a tumor on the top of her right pinky finger. Since then, the tumor has grown in size, causing Samnang pain and making it difficult for her to use her right hand.
Samnang traveled for four hours with her husband to reach CSC for treatment. On July 12, surgeons will remove the tumor from her finger. Samnang needs our help to pay for her $220 medical bill, which includes her surgery, lab work and hospital stay.

Samnang underwent the removal of a finger tumor.
Samnang’s treatment went well. Following the procedure, a biopsy was sent to histology for further examination. She had one week of physiotherapy at CSC before being discharged. Samnang feels more comfortable than before.
Samnang says, “My finger feels better. Thanks to the CSC staff and the donations for helping me have the operation.”
