Nway Oo is a three-year-old girl who lives in Burma with her parents and three siblings.
About a month ago, Nway Oo’s family noticed that she wasn’t eating very well. And though she denied any pain, her stomach was firm and unyielding.
Her father took her to a local clinic, where she had an ultrasound test done. The results showed an enlarged kidney on the right side, and the doctor advised them to seek treatment.
Nway Oo was referred to our medical partner’s hospital, Maharaj Nakorn Chiang Mai Hospital, for further investigation. After consultation with the doctor, a CT scan was requested. The images from the scan will help the doctor in planning for appropriate treatment for Nway Oo. The scan will take place on March 2 and cost $693.
“I wish my daughter will be better so that we can return home soon,” her father says.
