Beringaniza is a farmer from Uganda and his wife is a tailor. He is married and a father to six children; he has three boys and one girl in school, and two daughters that work in a small hotel. He earns a living from a small-scale farm where he grows tomatoes, cabbage, and watermelons.
Beringaniza has experienced a painful superficial swelling on his left wrist for the past 20 years. He traveled to our medical partner’s care center to receive treatment. On June 23, surgeons will remove the mass. Now, Beringaniza needs help to raise $187 to fund this procedure.
Beringaniza shared, “I will continue with farming once I am relieved from this disfigurement which has made it difficult to live my life.”

Beringaniza underwent surgery to restore the function of his hand.
Beringaniza had a successful excision treatment to remove a ganglion cyst on his left wrist. He was originally scheduled for a lipoma excision but during the surgery his doctor discovered that there was also a cyst and was able to remove it. He is currently doing well and is experiencing less pain than before the surgery. He hopes that he will have a higher quality of life since he has been relieved of this condition. He will now be able to continue his work as a farmer.
Beringaniza shared, “I would like to thank you for supporting my surgery. I am extremely happy to find that I no longer have anymore disfigurement. I hope to continue farming once I recover.”
