Mugisa is a farmer from Uganda. He is 61 years old and a father of seven children.
For four years, Mugisa has had a bilateral inguinal hernia. If not treated, the hernia may twist and block, causing continued pain and discomfort. Fortunately, on November 8, he will undergo hernia repair surgery at our medical partner’s care center.
Our medical partner, African Mission Healthcare Foundation, is requesting $249 to fund Mugisa’s surgery. Once completed, this procedure will hopefully allow him to live more comfortably and confidently.
He says, “After surgery I will resume my farming.’’

Mugisa underwent hernia repair surgery.
Mugisa’s hernia repair was a success. He is no longer at risk of strangulation of the hernia. After recovery, he will be able to do any work.
Mugisa says, “I am full of happiness. Something I never knew it would happen has happened. God is great. After recovery, I will continue with farming as well as doing duties as the village chairperson. I extend my gratitude to all the people who have paid for my surgery. I have nothing to give in return. May the creator of heaven and earth bless you always.”
