Pes is a father of three from Cambodia. He is a rice farmer. He has two sons, one daughter, and four grandchildren. He likes watching the news on TV and listening to monks pray on the radio.
One year ago, Pes developed a cataract in his right eye, causing him blurred vision and photophobia. He has difficulty seeing things clearly, recognizing faces, and going anywhere outside.
When Pes learned about our medical partner, Children’s Surgical Centre, he traveled for two hours seeking treatment. On March 8, doctors will perform a phacoemulsification surgery and an intraocular lens implant in his right eye. After recovery, he will be able to see clearly. Now, he needs help to fund this $211 procedure.
He says, “I hope I can see everything clearly so I can go to the pagoda to help monks clean the temple.”
