Faraziya is a 71-year-old mother of four from Uganda She has suffered from a left inguinal (groin) hernia for about five years. In the last two years it has become very painful and has prevented her from working. The pain has been especially severe for the past four months.
When she is feeling well, Faraziya and her husband work as small farmers. Together they have raised five children, four of which have their own families, while one is still at home. Faraziya finds it peaceful when she is in church. She also likes playing with her three-year-old grandchild.
$229 will cover the cost of the surgery and care Faraziya needs. After surgery, she hopes to be able to go back to work and have enough food for her family.
Faraziya says, “May God bless the donors abundantly, I have had support from BCH for all my health needs, thanks to the donors and how I wish one time I would get to meet them and thank them in person.”
