Lili is a one-year-old baby girl from Guatemala. She lives together with her parents, grandparents, aunt, uncle, and cousin—they all adore her! Lili’s father pick blackberries and plums to support their family, and her mother takes care of the household.
Lili was diagnosed with malnutrition, a condition which results from consuming too little protein, calories, and nutrients. Beginning on April 21, Lili will be monitored at our medical partner’s care center, Clinic Tecpán. Our medical partner, Wuqu’ Kawoq, is asking for $492 to cover the cost of Lili’s growth monitoring, micronutrients, and food supplementation. Funds will also go towards an educational program that will teach her mother how to create nutrient-rich diets for her using limited resources.
“Thank you for the opportunity you are bringing to my daughter,” says Lili’s mother. “I thank the people who bring her this support so that she grows well.”
