Tumusiime is a nine-year-old boy from Uganda. He is the first born out of two children. Tumusiime and his younger brother are both in primary school. He is working hard because he wants to become a football player and a driver in future. His father is a motorcycle taxi rider in town.
Tumusiime developed a swelling in his right scrotum when he was seven years old. Recently, his parents took Tumusiime to the regional referral hospital, where he was diagnosed with a right hydrocele. If not treated, Tumusiime will continue suffering pain and discomfort as the swelling continues growing.
On September 6, Tumusiime will undergo hydrocele repair surgery. Our medical partner, African Mission Healthcare Foundation, has requested $185 to fund Tumusiime’s procedure. This will cover the full cost of treatment, including a three night hospital stay, supplies, labs, medication, and physician time. After surgery, Tumusiime will continue with his studies.
