Karugaba is a child from Uganda. He is the only child in his family. His mother sells second-handed clothes while his father is a roadside vendor. They stay in a two-roomed rental house where his mother operates her business in the front room and they live in the backroom.
For some time now, Karugaba has had an umbilical hernia and superficial posterior neck cysts. He is always itching around the umbilicus and crying due to abdominal discomfort. Fortunately, on July 7th, he will undergo hernia repair surgery at our medical partner’s care center.
Our medical partner, African Mission Healthcare Foundation, is requesting $230 to fund Karugaba’s surgery. Once completed, this procedure will hopefully allow him to live more comfortably and confidently.
Karugaba’s mother shared, “I hope my child will get a healthy life once his operation is successfully carried out.”
