Pamela is a young woman from Kenya. She dreams of one day going to college and studying business management. She saves the money she earns to be able to pay for her tuition.
In December 2017, Pamela fell down the stairs and fractured her right ankle. She went to the hospital, where she had a cast applied. Pamela cannot walk and is in pain.
Fortunately, surgeons at our medical partner can help. On January 16, Pamela will undergo a fracture repair procedure, called an open reduction and internal fixation. Once treated, Pamela will be able to walk and work again. Now, our medical partner, African Mission Healthcare Foundation, is requesting $640 to fund this procedure.
Pamela says, “I am hopeful that soon I will join college and get a job so that I can help my parents in their old age.”
