Chantha is a 37-year-old rice farmer. He shared that he has seven siblings and lives with his parents. When he is not farming, Chantha spends his time talking with friends, herding cows, and fishing.
Two months ago, Chantha developed nasal polyps, noncancerous growths in the lining of the nasal passage. This causes Chantha to experience difficulty breathing, discharge, and pain. He is worried because it is difficult for him to breathe and sleep well.
When Chantha learned about our medical partner, Children’s Surgical Centre (CSC), he traveled for one and a half hours seeking treatment. On May 11th, doctors will perform a nasal polypectomy to remove the polyps. After recovery, Chantha will be able to breathe more easily. CSC is requesting $319 to fund this procedure.
Chantha says,”I hope my nose can heal so I can breathe easily and the pain will go away.”
