Ny is a 54-year-old rice farmer from Cambodia. He has four sons, four grandchildren, and enjoys listening to the radio and spending time with his grandchildren.
Two years ago, Ny developed a cataract in his right eye, causing him blurry vision and photophobia. He has difficulty seeing things clearly, recognizing faces, and going anywhere outside.
When Ny learned about our medical partner, Children’s Surgical Centre, he traveled for four hours seeking treatment. Doctors will perform a phacoemulsification cataract surgery and an intraocular lens implant in his right eye. After recovery, he will be able to see clearly again. Now, he needs help to fund this $211 procedure.
“I hope that I will be able to see clearly so I can help plant vegetables nearby the house,” said Ny.
