Peter is a farmer from Malawi. He lives with his wife, and he spends his days tending his garden and enjoying quiet time with his wife. Peter loves to spend his free time telling stories to his many grandchildren.
For one year, Peter has had a hydrocele, which is a swelling in a sensitive area. This hydrocele causes Peter weakness and pain, and he is not able to be as active as he would like to be. Fortunately, on June 7, he will undergo hydrocele repair surgery at Nkhoma Hospital, our medical partner’s care center.
Our medical partner, World Altering Medicine, is requesting $302 to fund Peter’s surgery. The requested money pays for supplies, medications, and six nights of hospital stay. Peter and his family were very happy to learn his surgery would be funded. He is looking forward to going home and working in his garden and once again having the energy to play with his grandchildren.
He says, “I’m so happy! I thank you!”
