Monday is a small business woman and a mother of two, who completed her secondary school education. Monday lost her husband in 2001 and since then she managed to construct a three-room, semi-permanent house for her family. She owns a small business that sells spare car parts in Kabare town.
Three years ago, she began experiencing severe lower abdominal pains and other troubling symptoms. She has been diagnosed with Abnormal Uterine Bleeding. She needs to undergo a hysterectomy, a procedure in which surgeons will remove her uterus.
Our medical partner, African Mission Healthcare, is requesting $319 to fund Monday’s surgery. On March 22nd, she will undergo surgery at our medical partner’s care center, Rushoroza Hospital. Once recovered, Monday will be able to resume her daily activities, free of pain.
Monday says, “I am worried and I feel weak in my current condition. I pray and hope to get well through surgery so that I may be able to take on my day-to-day duties to take good care of myself and my family.”
