Lay is a grandfather of ten from Cambodia. He has two sons, two daughters, and ten grandchildren. He used to work as a rice farmer. He likes to read.
Three years ago, Lay developed a cataract in his right eye, causing him blurry vision and tearing. He has difficulty seeing things clearly, recognizing faces, and going anywhere outside.
When Lay learned about our medical partner, Children’s Surgical Centre, he traveled for one and a half hours seeking treatment. On September 6, doctors will perform a small incision cataract surgery and an intraocular lens implant in his right eye. After recovery, he will be able to see clearly. Now, he needs help to fund this $211 procedure.
He says, “I want go to the pagoda, join in ceremonies and I really want to ride bicycle when I go outside.”
