Habert is a 41-year-old motorcycle taxi driver, living with his wife and four children. Habert also works as a farmer with his wife, in order to supplement their income.
Four years ago, Habert developed a swelling on the left side of his jaw. The mass is large and growing in size, and he experiences a lot of pain and disfigurement from the swelling. Habert requires surgery to excise the growth, which could become malignant if it isn’t treated.
Fortunately, Habert traveled to Karoli Lwanga Hospital in Nyakibale, which is the care center of our medical partner, African Mission Healthcare. He is now scheduled for surgery to remove the mass on June 7th, for which African Mission Healthcare is requesting $188 to fund his procedure.
Habert says: “I am hopeful that since I have approached you, my health will be restored and I will resume farming as I take care of my family.”
