Bay is a 64-year-old rice farmer from Cambodia. He has five children, ten grandchildren, and enjoys listening to music
Two years ago, Bay developed a cataract in his left eye eye, causing him blurry vision and photophobia. He has difficulty seeing things clearly, recognizing faces, and going anywhere outside.
When Bay learned about our medical partner, Children’s Surgical Centre, he traveled for three hours seeking treatment. On May 8, doctors will perform a small incision cataract surgery and an intraocular lens implant in his left eye. After recovery, he will be able to see clearly. Now, he needs help to fund this $211 procedure.
He says, “I hope that after my operation I will be able to see clearly and can go anywhere I want to by myself.”
