Kim Sreang is your typical 6-year-old girl. She loves playing shopkeeper with her sisters and exploring her neighborhood.
Kim Sreang reports that she is embarrassed to go to school, however, because kids make fun of her droopy eye, caused by a condition called congenital ptosis. In addition to that, Kim Sreang’s condition causes extreme fatigue and frequent headaches, making it difficult for her to do much of anything. Without treatment, her doctors tell us she might lose her vision.
Kim Sreang’s parents heard about Children’s Surgical Centre from a friend in their village. They both work on a rubber farm, and make just enough money to support the family. They do not have the extra disposable income to pay for their daughters medical care, but they hope that between Watsi and CSC, we can raise the money their daughter needs to live a normal life.
