Alishiya is a fourteen-month-old girl, born to a single mother in Uganda. She likes to play and enjoys being carried by other children in the community. Alishiya’s mother is a subsistence farmer and struggles to care for her daughter and others in the home.
Alishiya has severe burns on her chest and hands. One morning when her mother was pouring tea for her, Alishiya hit the cup and the tea splashed on her, causing her burns. She is now in danger of infection. Her mother needs help raising the $605 required to treat Alishiya’s burns.
Alishiya’s mother said, “I wish to thank all the donors for the support to my child. We were worried about the cost. One day God will bless you for the support you have given to me and the world.”
