Mey Mey is a girl from Cambodia. She has two brothers and one sister. She likes playing with her toys and going for walks. She also likes studying literature and wants to be a teacher when she grows up.
Four years ago, a concrete drain pipe fell on Mey Mey and fractured her left foot. She went to a hospital, where they treated her fracture. However, she still has problems walking, and she cannot wear shoes.
Mey Mey needs to undergo an osteotomy operation to make it easier for her to walk. Her surgery is scheduled for November 9 and will cost $390.
Her mother says, “I don’t like that my daughter feels bad about how her foot looks and she doesn’t have confidence.”

Mey Mey underwent orthopedic surgery.
Mey Mey’s surgery went well and she’s been working with the physiotherapy team to improve the mobility and function in her foot. Surgery will allow Mey Mey to greatly improve her quality of life and allow her to walk without pain.
Her mother says, “I am very happy with my daughter’s operation. She can do her housework and study again. Thank you!”
