Rekha is a 20-year old farmer who lives in Nepal with her husband, mother-in-law, and young baby. She and her husband depend on agriculture for their living.
One month ago, Rekha developed an abscess on her right breast. She tried to use herbal medicine to cure the condition. Unfortunately, the wound did not heal, instead becoming extremely painful. She developed a high fever and pain in her chest and abdomen.
Unable to tolerate the pain any longer, Rekha walked three hours to visit our medical partner’s care center, Bayalpata Hospital. To cure her abscess, Rekha will undergo an incision and drainage procedure. She is scheduled to undergo the procedure on January 10. Our medical partner, Possible, is requesting $157 in funding.
