Ngabirano is a 54-year-old man who is married and has six children. He and his wife are small-scale farmers.
Ngabirano has cysts in his abdomen. He experiences severe abdominal pain, loss of appetite, and restlessness. He has also lost weight due to not eating. If Ngabirano is not treated, he could continue experiencing pain and discomfort.
Ngabirano visited our medical partner’s care center. He was diagnosed with a mesenteric cyst and a pancreatic pseudocyst. A laporatomy procedure is recommended to treat the cysts. His treatment is scheduled for November 2.
This treatment will cost $230. Ngabirano and his family cannot afford this cost and are appealing to Watsi for financial assistance. We expect treatment will improve his quality of life and prevent pain or other complications.
Ngabirano says, “I am glad to have heard of Watsi, and I hope after surgery I will resume farming.”
