Chenda is a 58-year-old grandmother from Cambodia. She is married and has one son, one daughter, and three grandchildren. In her free time, Chenda likes to watch Khmer and Thai movies on TV and exercise.
About a year ago, Chenda developed a cataract in each of her eyes, causing her blurred vision, tearing, and sensitivity to light. Her condition has made it difficult for her to do things on her own. Hearing about our medical partner’s care center, Kien Khleang National Rehabilitation Centre, through a relative, she decided to seek treatment.
On August 4, Chenda will undergo surgery at our medical partner’s care center to remove the cataracts form her eyes. Our medical partner, Children’s Surgical Centre, is asking for $398 to cover the cost of her care.
After surgery, Chenda will be able to see clearly again!
