Meet Francis, a two-year-old boy from Kenya. Francis’ parents are subsistence farmers without an external source of income. Francis is the second born of two children. He lives with his parents and elder sister in a one-room house in the Rift Valley region of Kenya.
Since September last year, Francis has had a hernia. His parents first noticed that Francis would cry and clutch at his groin because the hernia causes him pain and discomfort. Fortunately, on February 3rd, he will undergo repair surgery at our medical partner’s care center.
Our medical partner, African Mission Healthcare Foundation, is requesting $423 to fund Francis’s surgery. Once completed, this procedure will hopefully allow him to live more comfortably.
“I will appreciate any help accorded to facilitate my son’s treatment,” says Francis’ father.
