Eunice is a 41-year-old woman from Kenya. She is a mother of two children, and she likes spending time with her kids.
When Eunice was nine months old, she was burned by the cooking fire in her home. She has lived with the burn conditions since. Throughout her life, she has had difficulty carrying out simple tasks such as washing, bathing, and working effectively with both hands.
Eunice’s friend referred her to our medical partner, African Mission Healthcare Foundation, where doctors have recommended contracture release surgery with skin graft and flap. On April 18, Eunice will undergo the surgery on her elbow and wrist. After this surgery, Eunice will regain function of her left arm and carry out normal daily activities with ease. African Mission Healthcare Foundation is requesting $1,063 to fund Eunice’s treatment.
“I want to get treated…so that I can work hard and support my children. I don’t want them to experience the challenges I went through in my life,” shares Eunice.
