Sakor is a grandmother from Cambodia. She has two children and three grandchildren. She enjoys praying at the pagoda and cooking.
One year ago, Sakor developed a cataract in each eye, causing her itchy, watery eyes and vision loss. She has difficulty seeing things clearly, recognizing faces, and going anywhere outside.
When Sakor learned about our medical partner, Children’s Surgical Centre, she traveled for two hours seeking treatment. On November 28, doctors will perform a phacoemulsification cataract surgery and an intraocular lens implant in each eye. After recovery, she will be able to see clearly. Now, she needs help to fund this $398 procedure.
Her husband says, “I hope my wife can improve her vision so she can continue to enjoy cooking.”
