Sophath is a rice farmer from Cambodia. He likes to watch Khmer TV shows, listen to old music, and listen to the news on the radio.
In February 2016, Sophath was in a motor vehicle accident that caused a fracture in his right tibia. He went to an emergency clinic, and doctors fixated hardware to heal his fracture. Now, the hardware is infected. It is difficult for him walk, and he is in chronic pain.
Fortunately, surgeons at our medical partner, Children’s Surgical Centre, can help. On May 4, Sophath will undergo a hardware removal procedure, which will cost $214. This procedure will help him walk easily again.
His wife says, “I hope after surgery, my husband will regain normal functional in his leg. I won’t have to worry about his bone and limited mobility.”
