Tusingwire is a farmer from Kenya. She is married with four children the first born works as a causal laborer in Kampala and other three are still in school. Tusingwire and her husband practice small scale farming
Three years ago, Tusingwire began to experience troubling symptoms, including shortness of breath, headaches, and a cough. She was diagnosed with a goiter, an abnormal enlargement of the thyroid gland. She needs surgery to prevent her symptoms from getting worse.
Our medical partner, African Mission Healthcare Foundation, is helping Tusingwire receive treatment. She is scheduled to undergo a thyroidectomy on October 15th at our medical partner’s care center. Surgeons will remove all or part of her thyroid gland. This procedure will cost $240, and she and her family need help raising money.
Tusingwire says, “I am thankful to you for having given me a helping hand. I pray that my surgery may be successful so that I can be relieved from these symptoms.”
