Makara is a ten-year-old boy from Cambodia. He’s in third grade and enjoys learning, riding his bike, and playing with toys.

Makara underwent eye surgery.
Makara’s retinal detachment treatment for his right eye went well. After the procedure, he was given eye drops to reduce inflammation, fight infection, relax eye muscles, and control eye pressure. Makara experiences less pain than before and his vision has improved.
Makara says, “I feel so happy that I can see again. Now I can study and play with my friends.”
