SreyRa is a 10-year-old student from Cambodia. She has two brothers and one sister. In her spare time, SreyRa likes to play with children in her neighborhood and read school books.
SreyRa requires treatment to repair a congenital musculoskeletal malformation that she has had in her left knee since birth. This has made it difficult for SreyRa to walk normally, and, as a result, she is unable to bend her left leg.
SreyRa traveled for two hours with her father to reach our medical partner, Children’s Surgical Center (CSC), for treatment. CSC is requesting $450 to fund a quadricepsplasty surgery on SreyRa’s left leg. The procedure is scheduled to take place on April 5 and, once completed, should greatly improve SreyRa’s mobility and range of motion.

SreyRa underwent leg surgery.
SreyRa’s treatment for her left knee went well. Following the procedure, she received pain medication and she had one week of physiotherapy at CSC before being discharged. Her wounds have healed nicely and she does not experience any pain. This is one of a few procedures SreyRa has had at CSC as continuation of her treatments. She may continue to visit CSC until she can walk easily and without any problems.
SreyRa says, “I am happy and I feel better because my wounds have healed. Thanks to the staff for helping me.”
