Ravuth is a 28-year-old man from Cambodia who recently got married. He likes to play football, do housework, and watch television in his free time.
At age two, Ravuth developed an ear infection in his right ear, causing the eardrum on his right side to perforate. As a result, he experiences ear discharge, hearing loss, and tinnitus (ringing or buzzing in the ear).
Ravuth is worried about his ear. After hearing about Watsi’s medical partner, Children’s Surgical Centre (CSC), he and his mother traveled one hour by tuk-tuk to reach CSC for evaluation and treatment.
On March 16, ear, nose and throat surgeons at CSC will perform a myringoplasty to repair the tear in Ravuth’s right eardrum. $423 in funding covers the cost of the operation as well as two nights in the hospital, surgical supplies, and food. Over time, Ravuth’s hearing will improve.
Let’s help fund surgery for Ravuth!
