Kamagara is a farmer from Uganda. He is married and a father to five daughters. Three are married and are small-scale farmers and the other two are still in school. He currently earns a living by growing cabbages, tomatoes, and passion fruit, while his wife works as a tailor.
Six years ago, Kamagara developed an inguinal hernia. He feels a constant backache and he can’t bend or stand for long hours. He feels an especially sharp pain when he coughs or laughs. Fortunately, on July 7th, he will undergo hernia repair surgery at our medical partner’s care center.
Our medical partner, African Mission Healthcare Foundation, is requesting $230 to fund Kamagara’s surgery. Once completed, this procedure will hopefully allow him to live more comfortably and confidently.
Kamagara shared, “I will be glad when I am relieved from these symptoms so that I can resume farming and providing for my family.”
