Orishaba is a 40-year-old hardworking woman from Western Uganda. She currently lives with her parents and does casual labor on farms in addition to small scale farming to earn extra income.
For two years, Orishaba has had a supraumbilical hernia. The hernia causes her severe abdominal pain, especially when she does strenuous activity on the farm.
Fortunately, our medical partner, African Mission Healthcare (AMH), is helping Orishaba to receive treatment. On June 9th, she will undergo hernia repair surgery at AMH’s care center. Now, she needs help raising $230 to fund her procedure. Once complete, this procedure will hopefully allow her to live more comfortably and confidently.
Orishaba shared, “I think that once am operated on and my pain is relieved, I will be able to work much better. I will pray to God to bless you for the good work done.”
