Reaksa is a seven-year-old boy growing up in Cambodia. He is the only child in his family. In his free time, he likes going to school and seeing his friends.
Unfortunately, for more than a year now, he has frequently gotten sick and developed a terrible snoring condition, which has sometimes kept the whole family awake at night. He also often experiences sore throats and complains that it is difficult for him to breathe. Consequently, doctors have now recommended that he get surgery to remove his tonsils and adenoids in order to alleviate his breathing problems.
Reaksa is now scheduled to undergo surgery on December 19. Our medical partner, Children’s Surgical Centre, is requesting $221 to cover the expenses of the operation, which include the cost of patient care and medicine.
Overall, the procedure will help him to breathe easily again and prevent any recurring tonsil infections. He says, “I hope I can sleep better.”
