Sasirabo is a carpentry student from Uganda. He is attending a technical institute. His parents are small-scale farmers who are barely managing his schooling fees and cannot raise the finds needed for medical treatment.
Over the past year, Sasirabo has had an umbilical hernia. This has affected his movements and work performance because he feels pain and discomfort. If not treated, the hernia may strangulate or obstruct, causing tissue damage. Fortunately, on November 7, he will undergo hernia repair surgery at our medical partner’s care center.
Our medical partner, African Mission Healthcare Foundation, is requesting $219 to fund Sasirabo’s surgery. Once completed, this procedure will hopefully allow him to live more comfortably and confidently.
Sasirabo’s father says, “I hope my son to continue his training as a carpenter after surgery. I shall have peace of mind and continue with cultivation for his school fees.”
