Baritazare is a farmer from Uganda. He is married and a father of six children.
For three years, Baritazare has had a right recurrent inguinal hernia. Though he had it repaired in 2010, it recurred in 2014. If not treated, Baritazare may suffer hernia twisting and blocking. Fortunately, on December 20, he will undergo hernia repair surgery at our medical partner’s care center.
Our medical partner, African Mission Healthcare Foundation, is requesting $249 to fund Baritazare’s surgery. Once completed, this procedure will hopefully allow him to live more comfortably.
He says, “After surgery I will resume farming. It is our source of food for the family.”

Baritazare underwent hernia repair surgery.
Baritazare’s hernia repair was successful. There is no more risk of strangulation of the hernia. After recovery he will be able to bend and work in his fields. He will also be able to sleep on his back now that the swelling has been removed.
He says, “I am excited that after recovery I will be able to ride my bicycle to take food items to the market in order to get school fees for my children. Thank you very much for the help you’ve given me. I have nothing to give in return. God alone will bless you for me.”
