Katwesigye is a 43-year-old tailor from Uganda. She is married amd has eight children. Her husband works as a school teacher.
Five years ago, Katwesigye began to experience a swelling in her neck. More recently, she has developed difficulty in breathing, swallowing, and speech. Diagnosed with thyroid issues, she has been recommended for surgery.
Our medical partner, African Mission Healthcare Foundation, is requesting $240 to fund Katwesigye’s surgery. She is scheduled for treatment on October 24 at our medical partner’s care center, Karoli Lwanga Hospital, Nyakibale.
“I will be very grateful when I am treated because I cannot afford to pay for the surgery and I hope to continue with tailoring after surgery,” Katwesigye says.
