Sophea is a bright-eyed and cheerful six-year-old girl from Cambodia. She likes to ride her bike with her friends and is known as a hardworking student.
Sophea was born with amniotic band syndrome, a rare condition that occurs when a strand of torn amniotic lining gets entangled with the fetus while in utero, which caused deformation of three of her fingers and one toe.
As a preventative measure, Sophea will undergo corrective surgery on her fingers and toe to prevent further damage and possible amputation. The surgery will cost $300. Let’s fund Sophea’s surgery so she can use her hands and feet like every normal kid!

Sophea received surgery to repair a deformation of her fingers and toe.
The operation was a great success! Sophea’s doctors and family are very happy with how quickly she is healing. She is no longer in danger of having her digits amputated to prevent more serious complications. Better yet, thanks to this procedure, this hard-working student is already back in school!
