Elia is a sweet baby from Tanzania and the youngest in a family of three children. Elia’s family depends on livestock farming to support their daily needs.
Elia was born with clubfoot of both his feet. Clubfoot is a condition in which the foot is twisted out of shape. This causes difficulty walking and even wearing shoes.
Fortunately, Elia traveled to visit our medical partner’s care center, Arusha Lutheran Medical Centre. There, surgeons will perform clubfoot repair surgery on November 6th. Our medical partner, African Mission Healthcare Foundation, is requesting $935 to fund Elia’s clubfoot repair. After treatment, he will have healthy growth and development, and be able to walk easily.
Elia’s mother told us, “I have always wanted to seek treatment for my son but our financial state is not good. Kindly help treat my son so that he can lead a normal life free of disability.”

Elia underwent clubfoot treatment on both of his feet.
Elia’s manipulation and casting treatment is progressing on well and his feet have had a good score to assess improvement on all the five cast changes that he has received.
Through this treatment, Elia’s feet will be fully corrected allowing him to learn how to walk with ease. As he grows up, he’ll be able to lead a normal life without the challenges and discrimination that he would have gone through if he didn’t get this treatment.
Elia’s mother says, “I want to take this chance to say thank you very much for giving my son a
chance to have his feet corrected. Without your help, I wouldn’t have afforded the treatment cost. ”
