Zin Phyo is a four-year-old girl from Burma. She lives with her parents, siblings, grandaunt, and grandmother.
Zin Phyo was two months old when her family noticed that she had problems with her feet. She also began to experience urinary dysfunction. Zin Phyo’s family visited many hospitals in Burma, with little success.
Finally, her family visited our medical partner’s care center, Maharaj Nakorn Chiang Mai Hospital. On November 7th, Zin Phyo underwent an MRI scan funded by Watsi donors. The scan showed masses near both kidneys.
Zin Phyo’s doctor believes that these masses are pressing on nearby nerves and causing her symptoms. Before removing the masses, the doctor suggested Zin Phyo undergo a CT scan to see if they are attached to any vital organs. She underwent the scan on November 14.
Now, our medical partner is requesting $693 to fund this procedure.
“I am very happy now,” shares Zin Phyo’s mother. “I was thrilled when the doctors told me that my daughter may be able to walk after they have removed the masses.”
