Turinawe is a 46-year-old trader and father of six from Uganda.
Turinawe has been living with a swelling on his neck for the past six years, that has continued to grow and become painful over time. The swelling was diagnosed as a lipoma, a benign tumor, and requires surgery to be removed.
Seeking treatment through our medical partner, African Mission Healthcare Foundation, Turinawe is scheduled to undergo mass removal surgery on July 11. He is requesting $187 to cover the total cost of his procedure and care.
After his surgery, Turinawe will be able to resume his daily life free of pain.
“After this surgery, I hope to get fine and continue with my business as I am a retail trader,” shares Turinawe.
