Atukwase underwent a surgery that will relieve her epigastric pain and swelling.
Atukwase had a successful herniorrhaphy to treat her supra umbilical hernia. She was originally scheduled to undergo an excision treatment due to a supra umbilical lipoma but during the operation her surgeons discovered that she actually had a hernia and were able to repair it. Fortunately, the surgery was successful and Atukwase is now able to move well. She is only experiencing some pain at the incision site and hopes to make a quick recovery. This surgery will improve her quality of life significantly because she will be able to eat without discomfort.
Atukwase shared, “May God reward you abundantly as you have made me like a new person with good health. I salute you because now I can live a good life and be able to continue farming after recovering.”
