Zablon is a cheerful three-year-old boy and the youngest of two children. He lives with his elder brother and parents in a three-room house in Central Kenya. Zablon’s mother practices farming, while his father is a public transport driver.
Zablon suffers from hypospadias, meaning his urethral opening is abnormally placed. His parents were advised to wait until he was between two and five-years-old to seek specialized treatment. During the wait for Zablon to be old enough, his parents were able to save some money for his treatment.
Zablon is now old enough for the surgery to correct the hypospadias. Unfortunately, the money his parents raised cannot fully cover Zablon’s surgery and they are unable to raise the remaining $700. If left untreated, his condition may result in urinary tract infections and infertility.
“I try to give my children the best,” Zablon’s mother shared. “We’ll appreciate any support.”

“Words fail me but you didn’t – thank you for all you’ve done. I wish I had the words to express my appreciation for your kindness. The financial assistance came just when we needed it most! It is the wonderful actions of others that keep us going most days,” shares Zablon’s mother. “Thank you again Watsi and God bless you all.”
