Jacob is a 92-year-old man from Kenya who remains active within the Christian community.
About six months ago, Jacob noticed a small swelling in his right groin region. Over time, the swelling increased, as did the pain. He relied on pain medications for a few months, but once the pain became too intense, he sought treatment through our medical partner, African Mission Healthcare Foundation, where his swelling was confirmed to be a hernia.
Jacob is scheduled for hernia repair surgery on April 26, and is requesting $425 to cover the total cost of the procedure. After his recovery, Jacob will be able to resume his regular activities without pain.
“I want to be treated to ease the pain I am having. I would not want complications especially when at home,” says Jacob.
