Obedi is a boy from Tanzania. He is the oldest child in a family of five children, and he is in third grade.
Obedi had an accident when he was four years old in which his clothes caught fire. His wounds healed, but he developed contractures on his left arm. The tightened skin makes it hard for him to move his hand.
Fortunately, our medical partner, African Mission Healthcare Foundation, is helping Obedi receive treatment. On January 11, surgeons at their care center will perform a burn contracture release surgery to help him use his hand again. Now, he needs help to fund this $832 procedure.
Obedi’s mother says, “I am grateful that I have found a place where my son can get the help he needs. Please help him get this treatment.”
