Pouk is a 37-year-old man living in Cambodia. He is happily married and enjoys his daily coffee.
Pouk was born with a rare congenital abnormality called meningoencephalocele which results from a failure of the neural tube to close completely during fetal development. This causes a protrusion from Pouk’s head and puts him at continual risk for meningitis and brain hemorrhages.
He often reports dizziness, and his wife has urged him to seek treatment for his condition. The only treatment for this condition is surgery, but Pouk cannot afford to pay for treatment out-of-pocket. We need your help to provide Pouk with surgery that will repair the affected area and decrease his risk of further problems. Let’s raise the $375 that Pouk needs for this life-changing surgery!
