Wickley is a farmer from Malawi. He is a retired food and beverage worker. Wickley is a widower, and he runs a small farm with his grown children. In his free time, Wickley likes to listen to the radio and spend time with his grandchildren.
Since December 2016, Wickley has had a right inguinal hernia. This hernia causes Wickley pain and makes working difficult. Fortunately, on January 9, he will undergo hernia repair surgery at Nkhoma Hospital, our medical partner’s care center.
Our medical partner, World Altering Medicine, is requesting $334 to fund Wickley’s surgery. The requested money pays for supplies, medications, and six nights of hospital stay. Wickley was thrilled to find out his surgery would be funded, and he is looking forward to going home and farming his land.
He says, “This is a great program. Thank you!”
