Erick is a 67 year old farmer from Uganda. He and his wife - who is also a farmer - have ten children. Erick and his wife struggle financially, and unfortunately, none of the children are in a position to help support their parents.
Three years ago, Erick developed a left inguinal hernia, which causes him pain and weakness, and limits his ability to work and to live his life to the fullest. His pain and discomfort have meant that Erick has had to stop farming, which has only contributed to his financial woes.
Fortunately, our medical partner, African Mission Healthcare Foundation, is here to help. Because of their intervention, Erick is scheduled to undergo hernia repair surgery on October 4th, at Karoli Lwanga Hospital, Nyakibale. Now Erick needs your help to fund his procedure, which will cost $230.
Erick said: “I appeal for your support so that my hope and health can be restored. I am in a bad state of finance that I cannot afford the costs of my surgery. I will be able to resume farming after surgery.”
